Questions at the table

Answers before you choose a course.

Do I need previous game design experience?

No. Beginner courses explain vocabulary and provide small exercises, while intermediate and advanced courses identify the experience expected before enrollment.

What materials do I need?

Most activities use paper, index cards, tokens, pencils, and a timer. Course pages identify any additional materials before you begin.

Are the courses self-paced?

Our catalog includes guided labs, workshops, microcourses, and studio courses. The format and suggested rhythm are listed on each course card.

Will I receive a finished game?

Courses focus on transferable design practice. You will create working artifacts and prototypes, but outcomes depend on your project and iteration choices.

How does playtesting work?

Lessons help you set a question, observe behavior, collect notes, and select a measured revision rather than changing everything at once.

Can a team study together?

Yes. Teams can use the same exercises for shared vocabulary and schedule a contact conversation about group learning needs.

What is Fallows?

Fallows is your private tracked-course list. Select the star on a catalog card to save an ID in your browser and review it later.

Can I change my theme preference?

Use the Theme control in the shared header. The preference is stored locally in your browser and can be changed at any time.
